Thanks to dual booting, the ability to install Linux to a usb stick, or using a live usb, you do not even need any extra hardware to do it. It doesn't take a lot of hardware to test for the platform. The developers would not have a hard time testing each and every update of their game on Linux because there aren't going to be very many. The developers are willing to fix bugs which occur in Wine, such as the invalid controller mapping, even though these bugs are, strictly speaking, much more difficult to resolve than native bugs.ĥ.
